PDN Photo Annual 2013 Rules

WHO MAY ENTER:

Anyone except employees of Nielsen and their families.

ENTERING THE CONTEST

Photographers may submit images for consideration. An entry consists of a single image or single series. Individuals may pay to enter as many entries as they wish to enter.

ENTRY FEES:

$45 per single entry/$55 per series/$25 for student. PhotoServe membership entry fees: $32 per image | $40 per series.
Submissions received after 1/29/13 will be subject to an additional late fee of $10 (through final deadline period of 2/25/13).

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS:

ONLINE SUBMISSIONS ONLY *: To enter your submissions electronically, please visit www.pdnphotoannual.com and register. Once the registration process has been completed, you will receive an e-mail confirmation. Simply log in to the PDN^® Annual Photo contest site, and follow the online instructions to upload images from your computer. Images formatted as a JPEG measuring 1,000 pixels on its long dimension are preferred. Images may be color profiled in sRGB, Adobe-1998 or not color-managed.

*Mailed Submission are accepted only for the PHOTO BOOKS and CORPORATE DESIGN categories. For mailed submissions, register on the website first and purchase your desired category. Include your e-mail address (your pdnphotoannual.com registered user) and contact information with the package.

Submitted materials will not be returned. All entries must be post marked before the deadline!

SPECIFICATIONS:

To qualify, photographs must be taken, published or produced between Feb 2012 and Feb 2013. Ongoing or in progress projects that contain older images are also allowed.

JUDGING:

Entries will be judged on the basis of creativity, photographic quality and effectiveness in expressing the contest theme. Winners will be published in the June 2012PDN^® issue exhibiting the PHOTO ANNUAL & PDNonline.com.

CONSENT AGREEMENT:

Submitted materials will not be returned. PDN^® is not responsible for the loss or damage of any entry. Submission of an entry to the contest automatically constitutes the contestant's acceptance of all conditions set forth in the above rules. It also acknowledges the right of PDN^® and Photo District News^® to use the entry for publication on PDNonline.com and in exhibitions and promotions related to the PDN^® Photo Annual contest up to 18 months following the contest.

Entries not complying with the rules set forth above will be disqualified.

PDN^®is solely responsible for the administration of the contest, and sponsors are in no way affiliated with the contest or liable for any matters arising due to the contest.
