Awards Celebration
An awards celebration for the winners will take place in May
2008 in New York City. The winners and their work will be featured in the May 2008 issue of
PDN and on
PDNOnline.
Marty Forscher Fellowship
The Marty Forscher Fellowship recognizes students and young professionals with a talent for humanistic photography. The
fund will award two grants in 2008.
Photographers are eligible by entering
humanistic documentary images to the PDN
Photo Annual. The Fellowship is sponsored
by
Parsons
School for Design and Photo District News.
ASMP Arnold Newman Prize
The ASMP Arnold Newman Prize, supported by
Getty Images,
Canon and
Photo
District News is awarded to an outstanding environmental portrait
photographer who demonstrates the traditions and values of Newman's portrait
photography. The winner will receive a $2,500 cash grant and a Canon camera.
Nikon Storyteller Award
The
Nikon Storyteller Award honors photographers who possess the unique
ability to tell compelling, visual stories. This year's winner will receive a $2,000 cash prize.
The Epson Creativity Award
The
Epson Creativity Award is presented to photographers who demonstrate
originality and creativity in their personal work. This years winner willreceive a $2,000 cash prize.
The Canon Explorer of Light Scholarship Award
The
Canon Explorer of Light Scholarship Award honors student photographers
who demonstrate a unique vision and ability. This years winner will receive
$2,000 scholarship
